Pregnancy-prep Consultation
a 1:1 Groundwork Session to get your body ready for pregnancy
Welcome to trimester zero
You’re about to grow a whole new human (no biggie).
Your body is getting ready to do one of the most extraordinary things a body can do.
Maybe you’re not trying yet, but you can feel it on the horizon. Maybe you’ve just come off the pill and you’re meeting your natural cycle for the first time in years. Or maybe you’ve just started trying, and every month feels full of possibility (and a lot of questions).
Wherever you’re starting from, this is a moment worth preparing for properly. Not just with fingers crossed and your period app’s best guess, but with a real, deep understanding of your body and what it needs.
There’s even a name for this season: trimester zero, the 3 or so months before conception, when your eggs are maturing. It’s the beginning of everything, and what you do now really counts.
What is a Groundwork Session?A 60 minute preconception consultation to map where your body is now, where you want it to be before you conceive, and what might be standing in between. We look in depth at your cycle, your fertile signs, your history and your lifestyle, and you leave with a clear, personal plan for the months ahead.
You bring your cycle, your questions and your hopes for what's next. I bring everything I've learned and everything I've lived to help you prepare.
What we can cover in a Groundwork Session:
-
Learn to recognise your fertile window from your own body's signs, including cervical fluid, BBT and ovulation tests, so you know when you're ovulating rather than guessing from an app's prediction.
-
Having a period doesn't always mean you've ovulated. We'll look at how to tell whether you are, what might be getting in the way, how to support your body back into ovulating, and when it's worth asking your GP for bloods.
-
The months before you start trying matter. Your eggs take around 3 months to mature, so this is the window to build a strong foundation. We'll look at your cycle health, nutrition, key nutrients and lifestyle, so you go into trying feeling ready rather than hoping for the best.
-
Whether you're thinking about it or you've just stopped, we'll talk through what to expect, what's normal as your natural cycle returns, how long it can take, and how to support your body through the transition.
-
When you're preparing for pregnancy, stress matters more than most of us realise. It can delay ovulation, shorten your luteal phase (the window your body needs for implantation) and make your fertile signs harder to read. We'll look at what's happening in your body and what helps you feel resourced enough to support your nervous system as you prepare. This is about giving your body the conditions it needs.

A few questions you might have
-
Trimester zero is the period of around 3 months before conception. It's roughly the time it takes for an egg to mature before ovulation, so your health, nutrition, stress levels and lifestyle during these months can all play a part. Most of us are never told this stage exists, which is exactly why I love working with women here.
-
If you've been trying to conceive for 12 months or more (or 6 months if you're over 35), please speak to your GP first. You deserve proper investigations, and they're an important step. I'm very happy to support you alongside your GP, but I don't want you to delay getting the care you need.
-
Yes, and it's actually a really good time to come. If you're planning to stop, we can talk about what to expect as your natural cycle returns, how long it can take, and how to support your body through the transition. Just know that while you're on hormonal contraception, the bleed you get isn't a true period, so we'll focus on preparing for coming off rather than reading your current cycle.
-
Not at all. Whether you've been charting for months or have never tracked a thing, we'll start wherever you are. If you have any data, from an app, a paper chart or just notes on your phone, bring it along. If not, I'll show you what to start tracking so you can get to know your fertile signs before you try.
-
No. I'm a Women’s Hormone Health Practitioner - not a doctor, and I don't diagnose or prescribe. My work sits alongside your medical care. If anything comes up that needs looking into, I'll tell you and help you know what to ask for.
-
If you have cycle data (charts, app exports, any notes you've kept) bring them. If you don't, just bring your questions. The intake form will help you gather your thoughts beforehand.
-
I'd love that! At the end of your Groundwork Session, I'll share my honest recommendation for your next step. Sometimes that's a few changes to try on your own. Sometimes it's a conversation with your GP. And sometimes it's continuing to work together 1:1.
-
Yes, always. The recording and a written summary of key takeaways and next steps will be sent within 2 working days of our session.
About Molly
I help women come home to their bodies, and for a lot of them that means preparing them for one of the biggest transitions of their lives.
I'm a hormone health practitioner and menstrual cycle coach. I've birthed 2 beautiful humans, bring 8+ years of cycle tracking, 12 years of motherhood and an unfortunate dose of endometriosis, all of which live in my medicine bag.
I've had 2 very different pregnancies, and 2 very different experiences of my body. What I know now is that how you go into pregnancy shapes so much of how you feel through it, and that preparation is something we're rarely taught to do.
I work at the intersection of fertility awareness, nutrition, lifestyle and cyclical living, because your fertility doesn't exist in isolation (and neither do you).
This work holds both the science and the sacred, the clinical and the cyclical, the data and the deep knowing underneath it. Because I think you deserve both real answers and the feeling of finally being understood.
